“I was pouring out my soul before God” (1 Samuel 1:15)
An exciting and uplifting prayer gathering for women at the site where Hannah prayed for a son and was answered.
The Prayer of Hannah has become a tradition. Its special location — the very site where Hannah prayed for a son, and where artifacts of the Tabernacle still stand — impart a powerful and poignant spiritual aspect to the event.
Thousands of women from all over Israel attend The Prayer of Hannah, and we invest a great deal of time and resources in making it the best event possible. This year’s event began with guided tours of the site followed by a musical interlude and prayer with the Ahoty (“My Sister”) band. The main event was a fascinating talk by Rabbanit Yemima Mizrahi in honor of the upcoming High Holidays, together with an uplifting women’s prayer gathering. The event concluded with a lovely performance of spiritual melodies and liturgical songs by the singer Etti Ankri and the all-women Peima ensemble. We hope to see you next year!
